IMPORTANT: What to Bring

Come prepared for a lab-oriented course by bringing the following:

  • Blood pressure cuff and stethoscope
  • Tape measure
  • Wear lab clothes (sports bras for females) for the entire weekend
  • Water bottle! Chatham is a "green" campus. There's plenty of filtered water stations, but you need to bring your own bottle.

Meals: Meals during the course are on your own. The host hotel room rate includes breakfast. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the course site. We'll provide coffee/tea service in the morning and some snack foods during the course.

Sign-in: Daily sign-in sheets will be circulated to verify your attendance for continuing education credit. Make sure that you sign in each day.

Demonstration Tests & Follow-up: You'll be asked to demonstrate skills on-site during the course. You'll also be asked to complete an online course evaluation the week following the course. The link will be sent to you in a follow up email message.

Presentation Slides [Click to Download]: [Download by clicking the hyperlink at left. PDF.] Presentation slides are provided for your convenience and future reference. We recommend copying them to a device you plan to use at the course. Note that the presenters may revise these slides between now and the course. If there are significant changes, we'll post an updated version of the slides here at the end of September.

Handouts will be provided on site.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS: Attendees should be knowledgeable about their state continuing education requirements. The Home Health Section does not apply for CEU approval to all states that require it, only to those we anticipate are most pertinent to the course, based upon location. Many states provide individual licensees with a means of obtaining credit and some states will automatically accept for credit courses sponsored by an APTA component. You'll find contact information for your state licensing board on the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy website.

The Home Health Section is an approved CE provider by the State of New York. As an APTA component, the Home Health Section is a pre-approved provider of PT continuing education in the State of Pennsylvania.
