Advertising Rates & Policies
Advertisers, please note that all advertising orders (except for Classifieds) must be accompanied by the Section’s “Advertising Insertion Form”.
About Our Section
The Home Health Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is the professional association for Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants who work in home health or community health settings. The Section supports these professionals with continuing education, advocacy, clinical and management information and resources relevant to the home/community health work settings. The Section represents and serves approximately 1,900 members. Based upon a recent survey of Section members, approximately 56% work in management/administrator positions and 53% are clinical staff.
About Section Advertising Opportunities
Newsletter
The Home Health Section’s newsletter, The Quarterly Report, is published four times each year and distributed to all Section members, a handful of subscribers, APTA and component staff. The Quarterly Report features display advertising only.
Website
Portions of the website are open to the public and other pages are restricted to access by Section members only.
Website banner ads are available on the home page only and are accessible to all website visitors.
Job and continuing education announcements are published on the “Classifieds” page of the website and are accessible to all visitors.
Advertising Policies
The Home Health Section reserves the right to reject, cancel and/or remove any advertisement from its publications, including its website, at any time, for any reason, and will notify the customer and provide an explanation to the customer following such action.
Advertisements are accepted when they conform to the ethical standards of the Home Health Section – APTA, Inc. The Home Health Section does not verify the accuracy of claims made in advertisements, and publication of an ad does not imply endorsement of the Home Health Section or APTA. Acceptance of ads for professional development courses addressing advanced – level competencies in clinical specialty areas does not imply review or endorsement by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.
Disclaimer – Physician Owned Practices
Because the APTA has a policy against arrangements under which sources of referral (including physicians) stand to profit from referring patients for physical therapy, the Home Health Section does not accept job listings for positions in a practice if any physician has a financial interest in the practice and refers patients to an employed physical therapist or to a physical therapist who supervises an employed physical therapist assistant. To complete your submission, you must sign and date the Advertising Insertion Order, confirming that the advertiser does not operate in a referral-for-profit environment.
Newsletter Content Balance
In order to continue to publish a newsletter that is valued – and read — by members, it is the Home Health Section’s policy that advertising content in The Quarterly Report not exceed 30% of the total content (for example: approximately 4 ½ pages of advertising space are available in a 16 page issue). For this reason, advertising space may not be available in a requested issue. We will do our best to accommodate advertiser space requests.

Job and Continuing Education Listings
Please use the Classified Form for submitting these listings. Upon our receipt of your e-mail form, we will fax an invoice for the listing to you; payment is expected within 10 days. Most listings are posted to the site within 72 hours, but as the Section has only part-time staff, response time may be greater during conferences/events.
