Prices provided on the items in our store are for Section members (Member price) and APTA members (Non-Member price). If you are not an APTA member, please use the Non-Member Order Form to place orders by fax or mail. All prices include shipping.
Section Return/Refund Policy
Damaged or defective merchandise may be returned to the Section within 60 days for a complete refund (excluding return postage) or replacement. It is a violation of international copyright laws for purchasers to reproduce and/or re-distribute copyrighted material without authorization from the copyright owner.
About our Audio CDs
Audio CDs include a complete audio recording on compact disk (CD) of the presentation, as well as a printed copy of the conference handout. The audio recording is typically provided in an mp3 or wav file. The CD plays on most modern stereo systems and computers. It does not include computer audio software, which is installed on most newer computer systems.
Unless otherwise noted for a specific presentation, the presentation is provided on one (1) CD.
Continuing Education Credit
The Home Health Section does not apply for continuing education approval for audio conferences, however, your state licensure may allow credits for this education activity. You will need to contact the agency in your state handling your professional licensure in order to determine whether or not credit is available.
The Section does apply for continuing education approval in some states for home study courses. The states that have approved the course are listed in the course description. Even if the course is not approved for CEUs in your state, credit may be available through your state, but you will need to contact your state licensing board to determine whether or not they will accept the course for credit toward relicensure.

CMS is moving from the current payment model of PPS towards a value based payment system (pay for performance) which will rely on outcomes for payment. In order for home health agencies to survive in the present and proposed future reimbursement models, it is crucial for clinicians and administrators alike to foster autonomous practice which includes professionalism as a central characteristic rather than following a technician approach to practice.

Fall risk assessment and risk reduction programs are not new to Physical Therapists in the home health setting. The causes of falls are multifactorial and include medical, functional, psychosocial, and environmental issues. Therapists must understand and appreciate patients’ medical histories, including the medications that they use, to be able to create effective fall risk reduction strategies. This audio conference will enhance the therapist’s ability to recognize medications commonly related to falls, their basic pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, drug-to-drug interactions, and implications for intervention.
