Jordan Bennett, DPT, CWT

Jordan is running for Vice President in the 2020 Board Elections.

My name is Jordan Bennett. I grew up in Biloxi, MS. I have been working in or around the physical therapy profession since I was 16 years old. I attended Belhaven University on an Athletic/Academic Scholarship, where I played baseball and football. During my time there I was President of the Sports Medicine Society. I obtained my degree in 3 years, then attended Southwest Baptist University for my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After graduation I directed an outpatient clinic for 1.5 years, then pursued a career in the home health setting. I have been working for the same company in Home health now for 5 years. The home health setting is truly my calling as a physical therapist.

Candidate Statement
If I am elected to a respective position, I will execute my duties to the position with the best of my abilities. I have a lot of experience and education about the current state of home health and many ideas/policy changes, which would benefit our industry and profession. I am knowledgable in the new PDGM payment model, home health documentation, medical necessity, and rules and regulations. Home healthcare has become my passion as a physical therapist because I have seen first hand, the impact we can of on other in their home setting. I also believe it is important to provide quality evidence based care to patients in rural areas. I want to be a voice for both our patients and this wonderful profession. If elected to a leadership position, I will tirelessly fight for proper access to care/physical therapy services, reimbursement, fair rules/regulations, and for our ability to properly care for the millions of patients that require our skilled services. Thank you for your consideration, Jordan Bennett, DPT, CWT
