About the Webinar Discussion: The Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Section and the Academy of Acute Care Physical Therapy invite you to join them for an interactive panel discussion, Clinician Conversations: CVP & AACPT Care Providers Discuss Treating Patients with COVID-19.
Navigating the dynamics of the acute care environment has become increasingly more challenging due to the presence and nature of COVID-19. Front-line healthcare workers, including physical therapists, have experienced daily changes to their clinical practice and roles within their institutions. Many physical therapists have been furloughed, re-deployed from an outpatient role to an acute care role and/or have been providing direct care to patients suffering from COVID-19. It is vital to acknowledge and discuss the significance of how a global pandemic has affected our personal and professional lives.
Panelists bring perspectives from:
- An academic medical center with lower rates of COVID-19 infections
- An urban medical center in a national “hot spot”
- A community hospital with one dedicated physical therapist to the COVID-19 Unit
